Cameron Diaz has filed a police report alleging that an X17 photographer tried to hit her and Justin Timberlake with his car Tuesday in Hollywood.
From People Magazine:
"On Sept. 19, just after midnight, Cameron Diaz filed a report with the LAPD," says police officer April Harding. "Diaz and Justin Timberlake were leaving a friend's home when a photographer hiding in the bushes tried to take a photograph of her. "They both then chased the photographer for a short distance. The photographer then got into his car and drove toward both [of] them, causing Diaz to jump out of the car's way. She felt the driver was trying to hit both of them, and so she filed the report. She's alleging assault with a deadly weapon, with a vehicle." The paparazzo, who works with photo agency X17, tells a different story and is "currently in the process of filing a complaint against Ms. Diaz and Mr. Timberlake." The agency's official website claims that the photos were taken on a public street and that the photographer was trying to leave when Diaz blocked the car. "Want the truth?" reads a posting on X17online.com. "Justin and Cameron were telling our photographers to leave (you can hear our photographer in the video, saying that he's leaving) and then as one of our guys was trying to leave the street, Cameron stood in front of the car, blocking him, saying that she wanted him to stay until the cops came. "Our photographer wasn't even sure she had actually called the cops and he felt threatened by her actions and those of Justin and the other members of their group (after Justin had already tried to grab his camera), so he drove around Cameron to escape her attempt at entrapment. "You don't tell someone to leave and then stand in the middle of the road, girlfriend!" The LAPD is investigating the incident. Diaz and Timberlake had a previous altercation with photographers in November 2004. Paparazzi Saul Lazo and Jose Gonzalez sued the superstar couple for assault and battery, claiming that Diaz had hit and tripped Lazo and then stole his camera while he was trying to take pictures of them outside of the Chateau Marmont. The suit was settled in June 2005."
